‘People’ hunt another win in St James Senior League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Former champions Tomorrow’s People will go after their second straight win today as the St James Football Association’s Claro Senior League resumes after an unexpected break last week.
The competition was due to resume on Thursday, but the St James Referees Group requested a postponement following the shooting death of referee Andre Gayle on Wednesday morning.
Tomorrow’s People had won their opening game against Granville City 3-1 and will face Abes in a Zone B game at the UDC field in one of six games down to be contested.
Granville City will get the chance to atone for their loss two weeks ago when they take on North Gully Ambassadors at Sam Sharpe Teachers College, while last season’s losing finalists Melbourne and Fogo United will meet in the other Zone B game at Albion.
In Zone A, Mt Salem who were relegated from the Western Confederation Super League at the end of the previous season, will host Mountain Villa at the Mt Salem field; Barrett Town and Salt Spring United will be at the Wyndham field while Revelation, last season’s Division One champions will face Salt Spring Roses at Tucker.
Meanwhile, the Division One will resume with six games tomorrow.
