Stop the negativity
Dear Editor,
Jamaica is sure to see good light at the end of the tunnel, despite the negative criticism on how the economy has been managed by the Golding administration. We have to place hope in the Almighty to see the best for Jamaica.
Some Jamaicans, even some of those whom the people elected in the House of Representatives, have a negative outlook for the nation, and are saying that the ship is sinking to frighten people both here and abroad.
If we pray to God for hope and blessings on this land, He being merciful and forgiving, will hear our call.
Prime Minister Bruce Golding can’t take Jamaica out of the crisis that we and the rest of the world are in. He is trying his best to let the people feel comfortable and happy at a place called home. At this time, the only help he can receive to let the country be financially okay is from the IMF and other multilateral agencies.
He has a Cabinet that works very hard through this crisis. One such minister is Dr Christopher Tufton who is ensuring that through the Ministry of Agriculture the nation will be well fed.
We must all remember that despite the global crisis the Government still has free user fees in hospitals and free tuition in schools, not only for the poor but for all Jamaicans. Let’s give God thanks for all of that and don’t put the country in a negative light.
