Not justice
Dear Editor,
So many people have “jumped down the throat” of Minister Dwight Nelson about “politician interfering with the court’s decision” when he justly questioned granting bail to kidnappers – kidnapping being a crime which is on the increase.
After the police went through hours of struggles to bring in the accused for such a barefaced, heart-rending and dangerous act as the rising crime of kidnapping, blackmail and heartless robbery, a court offers the kidnappers bail. Oh, what stupidity!
What was the judge thinking or what did the jury have in mind when they offered bail to kidnappers, or how just was it when people found with five illegal guns were sentenced to only 18 months?
The honest-minded police personnel who apprehended those lawbreakers might just drop arms out of frustration and let anarchy take over!
