Security ministry needs to do better
Dear Editor,
Mr George Watson’s response to your article headlined “100 wanted men on the run” highlights how unbelievably inept the Ministry of National Security has grown over the past several years. I strongly believe that there are people who are protecting the murderers, who are slaughtering our families and friends.
How can the police claim that they are looking for people who have allegedly committed numerous murders and the only information that they have about these people is their aliases? They claim that they are unable to locate them because of limited information.
This is the most stupid reason ever given by a group of people who have sworn to protect the lives of every citizen.
For several years now I have seen where the police apprehend people and seemingly a concentrated effort is made to conceal the identity of these persons as the video cameras never film their faces — only their hands and feet. This is apparently stored as the only piece of information along with a name that is in no way connected to the individual in custody.
The would-be murderer is then released back into society to continue his slaughter of defenseless men and women — some of whom are crippled by age — as well as children, most of whom have never seen a gun until those fleeting moments before their death.
I am calling on the prime minister to personally look into this very serious matter of how information on these serial killers is obtained and, more importantly, why hard evidence is not recorded using easily available technology. An investigation also needs to be done to find out if members of the police force are protecting the identity of these murderers.
Mr Golding, you need to take this matter seriously. We need to stop the slaughtering of innocent people.
