Clarks Town seek to rebound in Trelawny Major League
DUANVALE, Trelawny —Leaders Clarks Town will seek to get back to winning ways today when they take on last-placed Sherwood in a first-round Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League game at Duanvale.
Clarks Town were beaten 1-0 by Holland last week, ending their four-game winning streak to start the season but should get back to winning ways today against Sherwood, who have won just one of their five games so far and have conceded a league-high 13 goals.
Clarks Town lead with 12 points, one more than Harmony FC and Holland United who played to a 0-0 in a rescheduled game on Wednesday.
Harmony, who drew their last two games after winning the previous three, are also seeking a win today when they host Upsetters at Bounty Hall.
Upsetters are one of three teams on three points at the bottom of the table.
Third-placed Holland will face Palmento, who are on five points and four places below them at William Knibb Memorial grounds.
Three more games are set for tomorrow as well — Duanvale on nine points will host Spicy Hill, Kinloss welcome Granville, while Flames and Dromilly will meet at Sea Road.
