Stressed
Dear Editor,
During the last general election campaign, Bruce Golding told us that Jamaicans were too blessed to be stressed. Well, surprise, surprise, Prime Minister, we are all deeply stressed.
Politicians should be very careful of their utterances as their own words will come back to haunt them. Unfortunately, the prime minister secured power at a time when the finances of the entire world were under pressure.
The signs of the financial meltdown were there for the prime minister to see, but he chose to ignore them and now he is paying the price. A great mystery is the fact that our government can find funds to pay the commissioners engaged in the Finsac Enquiry but cannot pay investors the interest rate agreed on when we made certain investments.
