Miller set for trial stints in Scandinavia
THE Harbour View Football Club has secured a trial for HVFC and national goalkeeper Dwayne Miller in Scandinavia with clubs in Norway and Sweden over the next two to four weeks.
Romel Wallen, of Pro-Goals Sports Management Limited, organised this opportunity and will be his representative in this venture.
Miller has occupied the number one goalkeeping spot at the club since he arrived there three years ago from York Town in St Thomas.
The 22-year-old has steadily improved under the watchful eye of coach Clive “Spider” Wedderburn. In the process, he has won the JFF Under-21 Championship, Premier League Championship, CFU Club Championship, and represented in the CONCACAF Champions League and Cup.
He won the coveted “Best Goalkeeper” Award in the Premier League in 2009, while currently boasting the best goal-tending statistics in the Premier League, having only conceded 11 goals from 24 games.
Having donned the national colours at the Under-20 and Under-23 levels, Dwayne has secured the starting position in the senior team throughout the last four games, keeping three clean-sheets and conceding twice in the last game against Argentina.
