The Black Eyed Peas unseat Ke$ha from the number one spot
California-based pop tart Ke$ha has lost her grip at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The new kid in town is Imma Be by the Black Eyed Peas.
Imma Be is the third single from the Black Eyed Peas’ latest album The END to reach the number one spot.
Of interesting note is the fact that the Black Eyed Peas is the first group in 19 years to score three number one singles from an album.
In the calendar year 1990 to 1991, the trio Wilson Phillips scored multiple hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with Hold On, You’re in Love, Release Me, Impulsive, and the Dream is Still Alive. Hold On, You’re in Love and Release Me went straight to number one.
