Harbour View continue winning ways in U-21s
Harbour View continue to lead the JFF Under-21 League, three matches into the third and final round after scoring a 3-1 win over St Georges at Harbour View on Friday.
The win pushed the ‘Stars of the East’ to 57 points, three more than Waterhouse, who edged Village 1-0, and four in front of Portmore United, who defeated Humble Lions 2-1.
Tivoli sit two points behind Portmore in the standings; however, fifth- and sixth-placed Sporting and Arnett are 12 points behind Tivoli, who beat August Town 4-0.
In other matches, Sporting Central blanked Village United 3-0 and Rivoli turned back Boys’ Town 2-1.
At Harbour View, Romario Campbell and McKauley Tulloch accounted for two and an own-goal for the other as the champions eased past St Georges, for whom Courtney Wallace scored.
Waterhouse got their victory courtesy of Andre Clennon’s lone strike against the hosts at the Elleston Wakeland Centre.
Portmore, with a goal each from Rosario Harriott and Tremaine Sterwart, got past home team Humble Lions with the odd goal in three at Effortville Community Centre. Peter Morris netted for the Lions.
At the Tony Spaulding complex, Alanzo Adlam bagged two goals and Dwight Dunk one, as Sporting Central defeated hosts Arnett Gardens.
At the Prison Oval, Odain Williamson and David Alvaranga got a goal apiece in their win over Boys’ Town. Davion Roberts netted for Boys’ Town.
