Falmouth doctor story partially erroneous
Dear Editor,
As attorneys-at-law for Dr Kenneth Enyi, we take the strongest objection to the one-sided and partially erroneous report published under the heading, ‘Falmouth doctor, woman on abortion rap’, in the Observer West, February 18, 2010 on page three.
Our client categorically denies the allegations, which are totally untrue. It is also completely false to report that the minor involved visited our client “last Thursday” and that the police “…got wind of the situation, moved in and nabbed the woman and the doctor”.
This has no factual basis and could not have possibly come from the police, since, as Dr Enyi’s attorneys-at-Law, the writer was present at his office during the police interview and can therefore personally confirm that such a report is totally without foundation. No such suggestions were even put to our client in the question and answer session, again attended by one of us.
We trust that greater care will be taken in dealing with matters which can be so damaging to the reputation of the person(s) involved and that this rebuttal will be given equal prominence.
