Big guns bow into Flow KO Cup next week
PREMIER League contenders Waterhouse and August Town FC were drawn for a mouth-watering clash when the second round of the Flow Champions Cup kicks off next Wednesday and Thursday.
The top-six Premier League teams that got a bye in the first round of competition, along with the 10 advancing teams from the first round, were drawn in eight matches at the second-round draw conducted at the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) offices yesterday.
In other all-Premier League fixtures, St George’s welcome Portmore United; defending champions Boys’ Town face Sporting Central at Brancourt; Rivoli host four-time winners Harbour View at Prison Oval, and former finalists Tivoli Gardens travel to Effortville to face Humble Lion.
In the lone encounter between parish champions, St Thomas’ York United will host Granville from St James.
With twenty-two goals scored in the first round, SportsMax and Flow made good on their promise to donate $3,000 per goal to Haiti, with a presentation of $66,000 going to the Jamaica Red Cross Haiti relief effort.
