KFC adds fish to menu permanently
KFC said yesterday that it will permanently add fish to its menu,an item which is typically added during the period of Lent, which begins today.
“This means that KFC’s popular “Colonel’s Catch” fish product is now permanently on KFC’s menu board,” said a release issued by KFC marketing manager Tina Myers-Matalon. “It also means that KFC’s already impressive line of signature sandwiches has been expanded to include fish — a sandwich that has been a customer favourite for many years during the Lenten period”.
“Each year that we bring back the Colonel’s Catch Fish Sandwich just for Lent, we have had a growing customer demand for it to stay,” she added in a statement. “By giving it a permanent place on our menu board, starting February 16, we will be offering two quality proteins… so now, nobody does chicken…or fish…better than KFC!”
The KFC executive has also indicated that additional changes are coming to the restaurant chain’s menu board, as the company seeks to ensure that there are multiple menu options and value points to meet customers’ varied needs.
