Hard Rock Café reopens with new focus
THE Hard Rock Café Ocho Rios has reopened with the proverbial bang and its new owners, Krisha and Sanju Chatani, are positioning the café as the premier diner and entertainment spot in the resort town.
The café had been closed for seven months but reopened last Friday with a function attended by family friends, and business interests.
According to Sanju Chatani, he wants to turn the café into a place where locals and visitors can relax and feel comfortable while enjoying tasty meals and a variety of music including rock and reggae.
“We want everybody to come, locals and tourists and feel as if they are at home, we want Hard Rock to be the premier entertainment spot in Ocho Rios, we want it to be the life of Ocho Rios, not just for tourists but for our locals.”
St Mary’s reggae band Farin X Change provided classical entertainment and had many of the patrons dancing the night away. The band also had the debut of its album Farin X Change and performed several of the tracks including Mama Africa, Running Away, Feel No Pain, and Gonna Love You.
Included in Chatani’s plans for the café are a live entertainment package and an in-house DJ. He is also looking forward to welcoming some of the top local and international entertainers and build on the collection of memorabilia at the café.
