Seba take aim at leaders Reno in Super League
BOUNTY HALL, Trelawny — Mid-season champions Seba United will seek to stay close to leaders Reno FC in the Captain’s Bakery Western Confederation Super League when they travel to Bounty Hall to face Exidos in a rescheduled return-round game this afternoon.
Reno edged in front on Sunday after beating two-time defending champions Wadadah 1-0 at Frome, their second 1-0 margin over the St James team this season and are on 32 points.
Seba are on 29 points, three points behind and a win today would see them at least draw level or a win of more than six goals margin would give them the lead on goal difference.
Seba had won their first-round game 2-1 at Jarrett Park and will start favourites to get their 10th win today.
Petersfield scored the biggest win of the round, beating Mt Pelier 3-1 for their third win to move up two places to eighth on 11 points.
Catherine Hall edged Frome 2-1 at the Herbert Morrison High grounds to move to 21 points, same as idle Bamboo, while Granville stayed two points behind after edging Prosper 1-0 in Lucea.
The Violet Kickers vs Bamboo game that was scheduled to be played at the UDC field was not played, as there were no uniformed police present.
