Dear Editor,
Your cartoonist must have been given a course in broad mindedness. If so, it did effect a most objective and acceptable change, evidenced by his portrayal of the pulse beat of Jamaicans at home and abroad.
The “protection of our businessmen” cartoon (January 25) far transcends all the other lopsided ones that both insult the intelligence of the readers and expose the lack of wit, balance, and decorum within the realm of brevity. I understand that the Andy Cap cartoons mostly depict the father of the writer. How is that for objectivity? It would be funny if we should see one where the tail is getting bigger than the body of the dog, and the tail is wagging the dog. This could probably help to stop the growing anxiety about mob rule.
Just one more favour – to remind some people that if they don’t have anything to say don’t say it because “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” for “the fool said in his heart there is no God”. What about those who even pen such blasphemous thoughts?
