Zedalini’s Spices Things Up
In a bid to further diversify its offerings Frozen Distributors Limited introduced consumers to its latest product — the Zedalini’s line of sauces.
The ‘Tambrin’ sauce, which is available in hot and mild varieties, hit store shelves last month, and Simone Abrego, sales and merchandising manager at the company promises that two new flavours — Guava and Mango – will be available within the next two months.
Abrego, whose company distributes mostly international brands including Barilla pastas, Hillshire Farms and Ballpark deli meats, says the new Zedalini’s products represent the second line of local sauces they are distributing.
“We also carry the Spur Tree Spice sauces, which is doing very well in the market,” Abrego says, adding that, Zedalini’s sauces are “100 per cent Jamaican”.
Indeed, the product is intrinsically Jamaican, employing flavours of locally available fruits and spices to create a truly memorable confection.
“As Jamaicans we have grown up with these fruits and now they have been transformed into delectable sauces,” Abrego notes.
“Our sauces are the perfect complements for meats and are made from the highest quality ingredients,” Abrego adds, “the taste speaks for itself.”
No surprise then, that manufacturer Anthony Ziadie spent months perfecting his formula before taking it to the market.
“Over the years, countless friends have come to love these sauces, and the demand for them grew,” Abrego shares of the process through which her company decided to serve as distributor for the product. “After countless batches of sauces were made, and armed with legions of sauce fans, it was time to go public.”
The sauces retail for $241.70 plus tax and are presently available at Loshusan Supermarket in Barbican, Sovereign Supermarket in Liguanea, the MegaMart branches, Lee’s Food Fair along Red Hills Road, Max Valu supermarket, General Foods, Total Supermarket and Craft Cottage.
