‘Big up’ Haiti responders
Dear Editor,
I want to send out a special “big up” to all the people across the world who came to the assistance of their Haitian brothers and sisters.
In the midst of all the suffering and pain it brought joy to my heart to see my brothers and sisters from all across the globe who have come together as one in the name of love, colour, religion, financial standing or otherwise. We became united as one. Amidst the doom and gloom this is an awesome sight and goes to show that all is not lost.
We are all in this thing together and together we definitely can work it out. I also want to thank the staff and crew of CNN for keeping us up to date on what is taking place in Haiti. Everyone is doing a great job, but I must single out Dr Sanjay Gupta and Anderson Cooper for the excellent job they are doing. I wish I were in the position to invite these two men and their families to Jamaica for a week of R and R when their assignments are finished. They are truly amazing.
Condolence goes out to the many family and friends who lost loved ones in this tragedy, especially to the ones who were there helping and showing love before the earthquake. May their souls rest in peace . Honour and respect go out also to my Jamaican sisters and brothers who are in Haiti showing love. Yes, we are the world. Together we can definitely overcome. One love.
