Well done, Sandals, AA
Dear Editor,
I must commend the Sandals Foundation and American Airlines for their initiative to help our Caribbean brothers and sisters in Haiti.
The report carried in your newspaper yesterday clearly demonstrates that these two organisations place a high value on human life and see it as their responsibility to contribute to the well-being of people in the region.
I have also noticed that since its launch, the Sandals Foundation has given exemplary service to many of Jamaica’s less fortunate, making their lives that much better. Therefore, the foundation’s Caribbean-wide campaign to raise money, clothing and linen for Haitians affected by the earthquake is just an extension of the caring nature of the people who make up this wonderful organisation.
It is in times of adversity, such as now, that we are able to determine who are the people and organisations that really care for humanity, and the Sandals Foundation and American Airlines are two such.
Again, my congratulations to them both.
