Blasphemous, Observer
Dear Editor,
I need to tend to my self-inflicted blisters consequent upon the nightmare subject article, allowed by the Observer to be in the Observer – January 21, “In the beginning, man created God”, by Mark Wignall. It was a futile effort to pinch myself out of this nightmare in the day.
As if we don’t have enough problems begging for solutions to deal with them, here comes a leading article questioning The Almighty and trying to trivialise the reality of God’s awesome and all-embracing power and existence.
Some people will do anything to get attention, in addition to the quest to be placed even into the sham halls of make-believe intellectualism. This hare-brained idea is extremely blasphemous, for to believe that one can trivialise the genuine authority and existence of God really makes me feel guilty responding to a non-issue and fairy-tale nonsense. My main problem is not with someone who has the right to make a fool of himself, but with the medium that promotes it. The longest journey begins with the first right step, hence “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”.
