How unnu HOT so!

I am Dwayne Bowen, AKA (Johnny, Yardy). I live in Heartease, Yallahs St Thomas. My past school is Kingston College. I was searching the garbage one day when I saw an Observer. I began flipping through it when I saw the TEENage. From then on, I stopped stressing myself to go to the Gleaner Company to buy the Youthlink because I was now able to by the Obsever on Tuesdays anywhere on the steet where it is sold.

I like the paper because alot of my past schoolmates write for this paper like Kiwayne Jacobs, Dhane Brown, Micheal Thompson Devaro Bolton and Shelly-Ann Humbrasingh. I like the fact that you don’t leave out the males. We are always represented in your paper. Recently, the issue on December 22 raised the bar! The paper was very good. At least this paper knows that males wear fashionable clothing as well. Thank you. You are the best in every thing from availabilty to picture quality. Continue doing the good work for the youth because I am always looking for you to raise the bar even higher. You are the top youth paper available in the country. Big up the team lots of love. I was reading the TEENage Observer today and I recall seeing your name associated with them as a lead writer or something in the past.

In any event, I wanted to laud you and your team for some great articles this morning.

The (editorial) piece about the police officers was well-needed and I was impressed by the impartiality of the review.

As for the ‘Worst Of’ list, the Bounty Killer bit was phenomenal. I loved that the review called him out on his anti-gay lyrics and how overplayed it has become. I had no idea that he went on such a tirade at the show thanks for the info.

Change begins with the youth and with you at the helm of the TEENage and the future of the media, maybe the tides can turn in Jamaica.

I am not very optimistic usually about Jamaica, but this monring, I saw a glimmer of hope that in the future, the youth will demand and affect changes in certain standards.

Commentary on ‘Oh Oh The Worst of 2009’

In regards to the piece on Miss Amita , the host of the Fiwi Choice Top Ten Chart show, evidence could have been given to support the idiotic, and uninformed notion, that she is ‘ignorant’. The fact is that a show displays only one facet of an individuals character-have any of you contributing writers met, or interviewed Amita? To be quiet frank, it seems that you all needed someone to attack, so you picked one, and weakly attempted to do so. Moreover, how can you critique the show without even being aware of its correct name?
