Seba, Frome hunt Super League win
FROME, Westmoreland — Seba United will be seeking a win against Frome at Frome this afternoon as they bid to keep in touch with leaders Reno in the first round of the Captain’s Bakery Western Confed Super League.
Seba, who were held 0-0 at Mt Pelier in a rescheduled game on Tuesday, trail Reno by three points, 17 to 20, with a game in hand, and a win today would ensure they stay second and in touch with the leaders who will be at Catherine Hall.
Both teams have yet to taste defeat and the home team, losing finalists last season, has not lost on home soil and will seek to keep this record intact.
In the absence of Dino Williams, who has left for Village United, Seba’s attack will be led by Wilfred Smith, Kemar James and Iton Scott.
Reno will be seeking their seventh win in nine games but will meet an improving Catherine Hall that have lost just once in their last four outings and are seeking a win against one of the more established teams.
Ricardo Clarke, Ian McDonald, Terry Thompson and Jermaine Woozencroft will lead the Garfield Anderson coached Catherine Hall but they will come up against a well organised Reno team that ill include the likes of O’Brian Woodbine, Martin Williams, Evon Taylor and Troy Reid.
The team of the moment however, is the red-hot Granville United who have scored 10 goals in their last three outings, all wins, and will be seeking win number four when they travel to fifth-placed Bamboo who are on 14 points from six games.
