Lym-ing with LIME
The Pavilion Court at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Kingston was the venue of choice last Thursday night, as LIME hosted its Customer Appreciation Party.
The event got underway at minutes after seven, at which time patrons were greeted by hostesses as they made their way from the shuttle buses into the elegantly decorated venue.
The telecoms giant seemed to have pulled out all the stops for this event. An illusionist created the ‘wow’ factor with his bag of tricks and held the attention of the audience for quite a while. Also proving quite popular among patrons was the opportunity to have their portraits sketched by artist Philip Henry, who proved to be a magician in this field as the likenesses he created of his subjects were amazing.
The dancefloor was nothing short of inviting. It stretched right across the pool and Renaissance selectors showed that they were more than capable of rocking the party. The business execs were captivated and many could be seen letting loose and having a good time as they danced the night away to some of today’s current hip-hop, R&B and dancehall hits. They could be seen adding their very own twist to Ding Dong’s summer anthem Holiday and QQ’s Skip to Ma Loo.
After their failure to smoothly execute other current dance moves the selector took the party to the days of the electric slide. This segment was well received by the guests as the entire venue began to move and groove to the spinning of Renaissance Disco.
According to event coordinator, Oralee Grandison-Bent, “The concept was built around creating a surreal environment where guests could come and lyme after a hectic day at work. Additionally, we wanted the customers to not only socialise and talk business but also to talk about what was actually taking place at the event.”
