Rae Town face lowly Real Mona in KSAFA Super League
RAE Town travel to Buttercup Park to face lowly Real Mona and Cavalier play away to bottom-of-the-table Maverley/Hughenden as action continues in the Claro/KSAFA Super League this afternoon.
Rae Town and Cavalier share the lead at the top with 31 points, and both will confident of victory when they face the two strugglers.
In other matches, Constant Spring entertain Mountain View at ‘Spring’ Complex, Santos host Barbican at Bell/Chung Oval, JDF play Bull Bay at Up Park Camp and Meadhaven meet Duhaney Park at Queensborough field.
The front-runners hold a six-point lead over their nearest challengers, Mountain View View and Santos, and they are followed by Constant Spring and JDF with 24 points.
Real Mona come next with 20 points, then Barbican with 16, Bull Bay 11, Duahney Park seven, Meadhaven six and Maverley/Hughenden four.
In the Major League, second-placed Police National and third-placed UWI will square-off in the feature game at UWI Bowl.
In other games, leaders Central Kingston take on Molynes United at Molynes field, Rockfort play Olympic Gardens at Cling Cling Oval, Greenwich Town host Brown’s Town at Tinson Pen, Whitfield Town go up against Liguanea at Barbican field and Cooreville tackle Swallowfield at Cooreville Gardens.
Central Kingston lead the tables with 24 points, three more than Police and five ahead of UWI.
However, the battle for second place will be truely on when UWI meet Police.
A win for UWI will see them overtaking their opponents by a point, while a win for Police would see them stretching their advantage to five points.
Rockfort occupy fourth spot with 18 points, followed by Greenwich and Whitfield Town with 17 points each.
Brown’s Town come next with 14, then Liguanea 13, Cooreville nine, Olympic Gardens and Swallowfield five, each.
In the Syd Bartlett competition, Stony Hill have a chance to take sole leadership when they take on Meadforest at Queensborough.
In other matches, Allman/Woodford play New Kingston at Heroes Circle, Seaview are at home against Red Hills and Pembroke Hall oppose Island Special Constabulary (ISCF) at Bell/Chung Oval.
With joint-leaders Shortwood resting this weekend, Stony Hill will expect maximum points against bottom-of-the-table Meadforest.
Stony Hill and Shortwood have 19 points, Allman/Woodford are a point behind, followed by Seaview with 17, Pembroke Hall nine, ISCF seven, Red Hills six and Meadforest four.
