The performers thrilled, save for that tragic dancehall artiste…
As we welcome 2010, Digicel Deal or No Deal looks forward to continuing a great season. And for those of you who are a little depressed about the taxes and want to be contestants on the show, I bear good news for you. Madame producer Tanya Taylor has advised me that auditions for the second season of Digicel Deal or No Deal are right around the corner, so stay tuned to TVJ and the Jamaica Observer for details. This will be your opportunity for a prosperous million dollar year.
I am still basking in that feel good feeling from Chris Martin’s $400,000, so much so that I decided to donate a bit more. I picked up a few $30,000 Platinum Tickets, got the Mercedes waxed and enjoyed the Shaggy and Friends concert last Saturday January 2; a wonderful way to start the New Year.
It was a spectacular outpouring of heart and goodwill from our Jamaican entertainers and invited international guest performers. The performers thrilled the packed audience, save for that one tragic dancehall artiste who presence the show would have done well without. The adage about the pig and the bush comes to mind. Again kudos to producer/director Tanya Taylor for her selection of the charity, I love to see my money well spent.
So apparently everyone has a “charity” like purpose from here on out, as last week we welcomed Ms Kadian Francis, the hopeful bride to be who hoped to win enough to pay for her dream beach wedding. On hearing this I thought to myself, this one might not be too great a challenge after all, what more do you need for a beach wedding than a little dress some sandals and a pastor.
Going into it I thought, it is the nature of every person to err, but only the fool perseveres in error. Ms Francis’ attempts at proving otherwise assisted her in playing her way to a total prize of $275,000. And while she rejoiced over her “petty cash” winnings, I again urge all future contestants to have some realistic goal and stick to it. The ,though nothing to write home about, will be a starting point for her little beach soirée.
Let it be noted that in the close of 2009 NO ONE has come close to beating ME. I have proven to all who have come in the past year that I am the imponderable gentleman that, to date, no one has been able to overcome.
As we go into what promises to be a demanding new year, I do hope that already selected upcoming contestants, along with those who wish to apply, take a careful look at all the strategies used. Admire strategies of successful candidates like Christopher Martin and also take time to review the shortcomings of ones like Mr “$1000” and attempt to convert their innate desperation and desire to beat me into will-power to make drastic change and come get that $3Million Digicel Deal or No Deal prize.
