Dear Editor,
I am happy that Ms Howard’ s assistance to the crash victims of American Airlines’ Flight 331 is being recognised. However, there were others who offered assistance.
I was among a group of about 12 people transported to the airport by a minibus whose driver and conductor seemed to have come specifically to help. I cannot tell if the bus was from JUTA, JUTC or otherwise, or whether the gentleman who assisted us into the bus was really a conductor.
I was grateful that someone had come to take us out of the pouring rain after the trauma of the crash and then the inordinately long wait for rescue. Though I did not get their names at the time, I would like to express my gratitude for their kind assistance. Many, many thanks, gentlemen.
