Mt Grace new Major League leaders
BLACKNESS, Westmoreland — Mt Grace have taken over the lead in Zone A of the Westmoreland Football Association’s Captain’s Bakery Major League after scoring a 3-2 win over Central Westmoreland Athletics Club at the Blackness Oval on Wednesday for their second straight win.
Then win took Mt Grace to six points, one more than Russia while Extra Flexx who won for the first time is in third place on four points.
Substitute Sheldon Anderson scored twice for Extra Flexx in their 4-0 win over Roaring River at the Little London High School.
Extra Flexx who led 2-0 at half time, had drawn their two previous games.
Roaring River had a chance to get back in the game at 2-0 down but missed a penalty kick.
In another game played Thursday at Negril, the home team drew 1-1 with Western Sports Academy to move to the top of Zone B on four points, one more than Paul Island and Chantilly who are both tied on three points each.
Two more games are down to be played tomorrow, Chantilly and Savannah FC will meet Bay Road while Central Westmoreland and Extra Flexx will meet at Frome.
