CMP gives JaBA’s headquarters facelift
CMP Home and Office Ltd, one of the country’s largest distributors of office furniture and electrical products, recently gave the Jamaica Basketball Association’s office a major facelift by supplying a muchneeded upgrade of furniture and equipment.
The total value of the overhaul was not disclosed, but the current one-year-oldJaBA administration is following up on renovative and painting work done earlier in the year, which is aimed at giving the association a new look.
Wayne Stewart, director of Betting and Gaming Lotteries and a JaBA board member, was instrumental in forging the partnership with the head of CMP Home and Office, Jonathan McKenzie.
Local basketball president Ajani Williams said it was pleasing to get these necesary items for the office and he hopes to extend the privilege to the rural offices as well.
“We are heartened at this partnership which will see us improving the working environs for our staff, which we hope will lead to even greater productivity and inspired effort.
“CMP’s furniture is firstclass and we hope to expand this partnership even further to other conferences,” Williams stated.
And after a very successful year with its national team and NBL League, Williams was happy to see sponsors still coming on board this late in the season.
But he believes it was a stamp of approval for the administration’s new presence across Jamaica.
