Top 10 Resolutions
As the year comes to an end, people always tend to make New Year resolutions. The I-will-dos, the I-will-not-dos, the I-must-improve and other lines are written down all over the world. And as resolutions go many never carry to the end of the year.
That said, here are some of the New Year resolutions TEENage hopes you will make and fulfil:
Save for this New Year: TEENs always say that they will save more. However, this never works out because they end up spending even more than the year before. Due to variety of entertainment events available to TEENagers they end up going through the year without putting something in the bank, or even feeding their piggy.
Lose weight: Every morning from the New Year begins they get up and get some friends and they start jogging and exercising. As the year progress though, fewer of you turn up. Some TEENs even say they will cut down the bad foods out of their diets, but they find it hard to resist and by the end of the year their size is doubled instead of loss.
Start going to church every Saturday/Sunday: This is always a plan TEENs make but they most time, never succeed in carry out this task. They may start the year going to church but only get there on the special occasions.
Study more instead of cramming before exams: TEENs always tend to make this a major change in their lives, but always go back to cramming. They say they will start to study more frequently so as to avoid the pressure of reading everything all at once before an exam but this is never a plan carried out.
Drink less: Some TEENs become very addicted to liquor, most always plan to stop the excessive drinking for the year. However, this is not successful because of the many parties with the inclusive payment for liquor and entry. This causes them to drink even more to enjoy their money’s worth.
Party less: TEENs tend to say they will party less, however, this is never so. In Jamaica because of the many parties, three everyday it is very hard to keeping up with this resolution.
Stop smoking: People always say they will stop the smoking, however they do not. This may be so since smoking is addictive for most persons to, just stop it like that would be a big step to take.
Start doing and sport at school: TEENs always make these plans but never succeed in carrying out these many creative and tremendous plans. TEENs may start going to the training but after a while give up because they are tired, can’t manage sports and school work or just thinks the training is too intense for them. This again is a plan most time never fulfilled.
Find true love: Most times TEENage boys and girls who have suffered bad relationships in the previous year, often make the plan of turning a new page in their lives. They pray for the New Year to be theirs, so that their dreams can come true. This most times is unsuccessful because they may meet someone who they feel is the one but before the year ends their life is a misery again.
Changing faults: This is another big issue TEENagers face, especially for a New Year. Some of these thoughts come about because they have lost good friends because of these faults that they lack changing. TEENs, however, try to change their ways but fail to do so because they either can’t control what they do or how they behave toward others or they will start to make a change, then go back to what they were before.
However, TEENage wish you a prosperous New Year and hopes all your plans and dreams come true for 2010.
