Gifts for Christmas
Christmas is the season when everyone wants to give the persons they care about the most, a specail gift.
As the Christmas season approachs, more and more television commercials are being aired, showing of the many gift packages. However, Some TEENs may not have sufficient money to purchase the kind of gifts that they think are the most precious.
Most TEENagers tend to think that buying the most expensive gifts is all that matters, but as the old saying goes, ‘Its not what you give but its the meaning behind the gift’.
Here are some make it yourself gift ideas to try:
Mom, Dad and Grandparents
* Decorate a photo frame and include a special photo.
* With help from an adult, bake cookies or other holiday treats and package them in pretty holiday boxes or baskets.
* Write a poem, letter or song, explaining why he or she is special to you.
Brothers, Sisters and Friends
* Put everyone’s name on a piece of paper and put all the slip in a hat and then all each person to pull out a name and buy a gift for just that person.
* Instead of buying gifts for each other, you could decide to pool your money with your friends or siblings and make a donation to a charity.
* Go out to lunch or any other meal. You could go to an inexpensive restaurant with friends and split the bill.
Teachers
* You can show you appreciate your teacher by giving her a simple card that has a note of thanks inside. In the note you can mention things you’ve learnt for the year.
