St Mary is mourning one the best florists, Laureen Wong, who passed away on December 4. She was also a justice of the peace in Annotto Bay.

Mrs Wong was loved by the people and children of Annotto Bay. She has won almost all floral competitions in the St Mary Agricultural Show at the Gary’s Inn event every year. You can ask anyone about flowers, but Mrs Wong would give you the correct answers and she had the flowers too. I have seen her displays and her moments of glory at competitions.

We can say that God blessed Mrs Wong with her talents and I pray our people will learn from her life that our soil is fertile and we can plant almost anything in our beautiful Jamaica.

I am sure The Almighty is happy that Mrs Wong tried her best to plant flowers and to show others that we are here to be fruitful and all things are possible.

May God bless her memories and St Mary. She will be missed at all floral competitions.
