PREMIERSHIP teams Sporting Central Academy and Humble Lions FC advanced to the final of the Clarendon Football Association Knockout competition after contrasting victories in their respective semi-final encounters on Wednesday.
At Brancourt, Sporting flogged Morgan’s Pass 5-0 with a hat-trick from Oneke Ford and one each from Damarly Samuels and Renoir Elliot.
Att the Monymusk Sports Club, it took penalties for Humble Lions to beat Super League outfit Monymusk 3-2, after playing to a 0-0 stalemate in full and extra time.
Humble Lions and Sporting Central will now meet in the final set for Wednesday at the Effortville Community Centre starting at 3:00 pm.
Both teams will, however, be playing only for the incentives and bragging rights, as their places in the Jamaica Football Federation’s (JFF) Flow All-Island Knockout championship are assured by virtue of them being Premier League teams.
As such, Monymusk and Morgan’s Pass will clash in the third-place play-off at 1:00 pm to decide who will join them in the all-island knockout.
