Elite Technology
The city’s newest technology oasis is the ultra-sleek Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) Elite in Manor Park Plaza.
And whether you’re Christmas shopping or just a techie looking for your next buy, the new store, opened last Friday December 11, is brimming with state-of-the-art technology.
“Customers can come into a comfortable, relaxed environment, view our display products and browse our website via our HP Touch Screen monitors,” shares Shelley Hendrickson, ATL Elite branch manager of the new concept store, which is the first of its kind in Jamaica.
The exclusive store features premium appliances and offers a wide range of high-end products, like the Hewlett Packard’s deluxe line of computers and Samsung LED flat-screen televisions.
“The new LED technology uses light-splitting diodes instead of the traditional plasma or LCD technology,” shares Dean Knight, ATL’s point man on information technology.
“With this type of technology, this television uses about 40 per cent less electricity,” he adds, noting that because the microchips are smaller manufacturers are able to outfit the television with a lot more value-added peripherals.
The Samsung UNB7000 series is the most advanced HDTV technology contained in a razor-thin silhouette. Try 55 inches of glorious colour, a 1.2-inch thick frame and surround-sound technology.
Add to that the Auto Motion Plus 120Hz technology, which eliminates all motion blur to leave only crisp colour and you’ll begin to understand where the new ATL Elite is tech heaven.
The sleek and stylish offerings continue with touch-enabled HP dx9000 TouchSmart Business PC.
“The HP TouchSmart PC brings a new level of interaction to your desktop that caters to multiple environments,” said Knight.
The TouchSmart allows users to easily access information, browse the Internet, collaborate with others and blog using the HP TouchSmart software suite and integrated WLAN1. What’s more, the TouchSmart is outfitted with: 4GB of memory; HP low-profile wireless keyboard, HP wireless optical mouse and Intel® Core 2 Duo P8400.
The ATL Elite goes beyond the traditional appliance store; this concept allows the customers to have a personalised consultation, which includes the opportunity to view ATL’s full range of products on-line, scan through brochures and customise purchase needs.
“We wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm and hassle-free,” says Zachary Harding, CEO of ATL, “The location is perfect and is designed to facilitate ease of access to neighbourhoods in close proximity.”
Along with the aforementioned tech gadgets, the store features larger appliances like the Frigidaire ‘Affinity’ Front Load Washers and Dryers, Cuisinart machines, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, wine coolers, irons and digital cameras.
So for a sleek and stylish gift this season, head to ATL Elite, which definitely stocks the ‘it’ items to give or to get.
