Farahri, Fire Lion to ‘RunThis City’ at Reggae Fever in MoBay
MONTEGO BAY, St James—Female, Canadian sing-jayFarahri is set to appear in her debut Jamaicanperformance, in association with Montego Bay-bornFire Lion — now living in Canada — at the fourth staging ofReggae Fever, tonight at the Catherine Hall EntertainmentComplex, Montego Bay.
The two have just released a single titled Run This City, whichthey claim is receiving heavy rotation on air in Canada.
Fire Lion, known for his 2000 release Zum Zai,stated that hiscareer has now taken off to another level.
He describes hisstyle as “some dancehall, and some reggae mixed with pop andhip hop”.
“My career is going where I always wanted it to be.
I am livingin Canada and have teamed up with Farahri, one of the hottestartistes in Canada now,” roared Fire Lion.
Meanwhile Farahri, whose biggest hit to date is Dance theNight Awayis anticipating a very good show tonight, with “lots ofpeople and lots of energy”.
Reggae Fever has a strong line up of local- based acts, includingdeejays Anthony B, Capleton, Laden, Teflon, Merciless, CharlieBlacks, Lady Saw, D’Angel, Lady G, Lutan Fire, Fanton Mojah, MrChumps, Chino, Mikeylous, Nesbeth and Louie Culture.
Etana, Coco Tea, Major Lloyd, Leroy Gibbon and Khago areamong the singers slated to perform.
