Tantalising Tablescapes Part 2… The Traditional Take
Last week I partnered with Maurine Capleton and her team of M C Decor and Rentals to show you the limitless options available to you to create beautiful tablescapes to decorate your tables for your Christmas dinner parties completely using rentals. Those we showed you last week offered a modern take, but this week we will show you several traditional and Jamaican alternatives.
Table 1: Hollies and Poinsettias: No other plants say Christmas more than these two, so with this beautiful centrepiece of a red candle surrounded by a cluster of poinsettias and holly berries, as well as holly berry napkin rings, a very Merry Christmas greeting will welcome your guests. This table is complete with Gold chiavari chairs with alternating red and green seat cushions as well as a shimmery red, green and gold plaid tablecloth.
Table 2: A miniature Christmas Tree as a centrepiece is perfect for a holiday tablescape. This tablescape is complete with cheerful plaid napkins in the same colours.
Table 3. The bountiful buffet, the inevitable table for Christmas dinner. With M C Decor, all you’ll need is the food. This festive tablescape with the bright red plaid runner and candle and berry centrepiece is complete with silver banana-leaf platters on which your food can be presented.
Besides solid coloured tablecloths in every colour you could want for Christmas, there are beautiful shimmery and patterned cloths and overlays that are available to add colour and pattern to your tablescape.
However, if you want to go with solid tablecloths, there are great traditional plaids, damask and patterned napkins that can add a pop of colour and pattern.
Rentals are a great way to achieve the look you want for far less than it would cost you to buy the pieces, and you don’t have to worry about where to store them after you’re done…so have a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends this year.
