Bands Incorporated event this Friday
Eclectic music will be showcased this Friday as the event called Bands Incorporated unfolds at Lindsay Crescent (Victoria House) beginning at 8:00 pm.
Presented by the Dubtronic Kru, the musical event will feature five bands that have been getting a lot of exposure abroad and locally through their unique musical offerings. Those scheduled to perform are Dubtonic Kru, Roots Underground, Uprising and the Mystical Revolution bands.
This is the second concert billed as Bands Incorporated. The first was held in May 2009 and was regarded by music critics as an entertaining and memorable event that was enjoyed by the many in attendance on that first occasion. The second staging of Bands Incorporated will be just as memorably fulfilling as during that time until now, the bands have been busy finetuning their individual sounds.
The Dubtonic Kru has just finished their new CD titled Dub Tonic which is an awesome collection of their varied musical influences. They did a mini tour of Europe in April 2009 performing in Spain, Belgium, Italy and Sweden. They also toured France, Norway, Poland and Sweden in the following month of May, and impressed at Reggae Sumfest 09.
Roots Underground is known for their electrifying performances and have developed a strong following. The Uprising Band, which owes its genesis to Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith’s In De Yard organisation has grown into an excellent band who only just returned from a successful European tour with Voiceroy, Kiddus I and Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith.
The Mystical Revolution band will also represent well alongside newcomers band, Raging Fyah.
