Where’s The Fun
SURROUNDED mostly by close friends, Rogen Walker, more popularly known as Ruption, celebrated his birthday, dubbed ‘Where There’s Fun’, on December 4 at Moulin Rouge. Well-known for his talent in graphic designing, Ruption’s party was a well-attended high-energy experience.
With first-class acts such as Chromatic, DJ Karyzma, TNG, and Solar Sound among others the party did not disappoint. Arriving at the venue little after 11:00 pm, it was already bubbling with patrons.
At about 11:30 pm patrons steadily began to arrive at the venue and the tempo steadily increased as the DJs reeled out hits from the ’90s while the patrons were enjoying free mixes provided. The vibe continued to pick up when Solar Sound took over and by this time the birthday boy made his appearance. First, they released a slew of hip-hop songs which got the patron rocking from side to side, bringing back old school hip-hop which went over well with the crowd. They then made a smooth transition from hip-hop over to dancehall.
Little after 1:00 am, the party then got more intense, as TNG blazed the turntables the dance floor erupted in a frenzy as everyone moved their bodies to the beat. Dancers from all corners including popular groups MOB and Shady Squad, heard the signal and responded in adequate fashion. Meanwhile the man of the night Ruption walked around meeting and greeting, and stopping for photo-ops.
The party ended at approximately 3:00 am by police officers. Although the patrons did not get to hear DJ Karyzma they were well entertained and fully satisfied by the DJs they heard.
All in all the party was amazing and leaves many to wonder what’s to come in 2010. A little birdy says that ‘Where There’s Fun’ may just be turned into a party series.
