Water bondage
Dear Editor,
For the last several months the National Water Commission has stopped trucking water to the Sligoville area, except for premium people, it seems. I have tried desperately to get questions answered, offered to help in any way I can, and all I get from the King Street and Portmore branches are unbelievable answers or none at all.
Minister Chang, please make arrangements to sell water to the district. You will be responsible for hand, foot, mouth, cholera – any disease that has to do with lack of water. You are a doctor, you know the ills of not having water. For heaven’s sake, do something, all of you. Every country that gives money for water projects should now be aware that Sligoville, the first Free Village, is still in bondage – no water.
