‘Dem bex’
Dear Editor,
I commend the Observer editorial staff for stirring up the nests of certain people in the Jamaican diaspora.
I see where many of them feel qualified to remain abroad and cast stones against the reporting of the harsh, dirty, somewhat nasty and repugnant yet true realities of Jamaican society.
I am truly amused to read some of the verbose and arrogant opinions about the quality of journalism in the Observer, which these external observers wrote. I would venture to say, “Dem bex so till!” I also wonder whether it was the report of the homosexual fracas or the revelation of the pink G-string that created the outrage?
This tells me that the Observer reporters must be doing something right – if only to attract the attention of self-styled and self-appointed social experts.
