Village, Spicy Hill for Trelawny KO crown
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Many time champions Village United and Spicy Hill will meet in the final of the Trelawny Football Association’s Dr Patrick Harris Knock-out competition this afternoon at the Elliston Wakeland Centre, starting at 3:00 pm.
While Village will start as overwhelming favourites to repeat as champions, Spicy Hill will not go away empty handed as they will take part in a national competition for the first time next year after qualifying for the Jamaica Football Federation’s Flow Champions Cup KO.
With Village assured of their place as a Premier League club, the next best finishing team will accompany them.
In the semi-finals, Village edged Harmony 4-3, while Spicy Hill beat Sherwood on penalty kicks after they played out a 2-2 draw after regulation and extra time.
