Three sit atop Captain’s Bakery Super League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — There is a three-way tie atop the points standings in the Captain’s Bakery Western Confederation Super League after Sunday’s round of games.
Bamboo of Hanover, who drew 0-0 draw with Frome FC, Seba United and Reno who both scored 3-0 wins, are all tied on 13 points.
Frome FC are next on 11 points, while Catherine Hall and Granville United, whose game at Sam Sharpe Teachers College was not played due to the non-appearance of the referee, are next on seven and six points respectively.
Bamboo and Reno are also tied on goal difference of plus seven, one more than Seba United’s plus six, but Bamboo lead on the second tie-breaker (more goals), as they have scored 10 to Reno’s eight.
At the Frome Sports Club, a defender Evon Taylor and Martin Williams, scored as Reno beat Exidos 3-0 for victory.
Wilfred Smith scored twice for Seba United and Torey Samuels got the other to beat Petersfield in the second game of a Jarrett Park double-header.
Earlier, two-time defending champions Wadadah bagged their first points of the competition, hammering Prosper of Hanover 4-0 to snap a four-game losing streak.
Darren Hamilton, Devon Ricketts, Isaac Brown and Curtis Palmer scored for Wadadah, who led 2-0 at halftime.
Violet Kickers also snapped their four-game losing skid, drawing 1-1 away to Mt Pelier FC in Hanover.
