Duo chases Cavalier in Super League race
TITLE chasers Rae Town and Santos will have a hard task keeping up with front-runners Cavalier in the 10th round of matches in the Claro/KSAFA Super League this afternoon.
Rae Town travel to Up Park Camp to face the JDF, while Santos entertain Constant Spring at Bell/Chung Oval.
In other games, Cavalier play away to Real Mona at Buttercup Park; Maverley/Hughenden and Meadhaven meet in the bottom-of-the-table clash at Maverley Park; Bull Bay oppose Mountain View at Bull Pen, while Barbican host Duhaney Park at Barbican. All games start at 3:00 pm.
Of the three leading teams, Cavalier have what appears to be the easiest fixture of the lot, as they go up against Real Mona who only have nine points from their eight matches.
Third-placed Santos will also have their work cut out against fourth-placed Constant Spring, coached by Jerome Waite, although the Carlton Dennis-coached Santos will start favourites.
Second-placed Rae Town also have a very stern test, playing away to fifth-placed JDF at Up Park Camp.
At Maverley Park, the home team will look to extend their three-point advantage over their opponents who have failed to win so far this season.
Mountain View should get the nod against Bull Bay at Bull Pen, while the game between Barbican and Duhaney Park could go either way.
In the Major League competition, Rockfort travel to Jamaica College to play Liguanea; Whitfield take on Cooreville at Cooreville; UWI host Olympic Gardens at UWI Bowl; Greenwich play Molynes United at Tinson Pen; Police National go up against Central Kingston at Edward Seaga Complex and Swallowfield tackle Browns Town at Stadium East.
All games start at 3:00 pm.
