Spring United top Roses in St James KO
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Two goals from Covantai Reid piloted Salt Spring United to a 3-1 win over Salt Spring Roses at the UDC field on Monday as the second round of the St James Captain’s Bakery and Grill Knock-Out competition got under way.
Omar Clarke scored the other goal and a defender got Salt Spring Roses’ goal as Salt Spring United advanced to face the winners of the game between Catherine Hall and Gully Ambassadors.
Today, Melbourne Strikers and Mountain Villa meet at the UDC field in another secondround game, while there will be a doubleheader at Jarrett Park tomorrow.
Granville City and Granville United will meet in the first game set to start at 4:00 pm, followed by Seba United against Tomorrow’s People.
On Friday, Mt Salem, who beat Violet Kickers in the first round, will face Wadadah, at UDC Field.
