Special registration deal for cut-throat domino players
Domino fanatics wishing to test their cut-throat skills in the Dragon World Series of Dominoes will have a special two-for-one registration deal which they must take advantage of by the end of today.
The special allows interested persons to register a teammate or friend for free. The process is very simple. All interested parties should register at any Paymaster location and then call in to the Dragon Stout hotline to register your friend completely free. Registration is $2,500.
With the big islandwide tournament set to “pose off” this weekend (December 4-6) in St Thomas at the Lyssons Jerk Centre, the four-man cut throught domino competition will see over $4 million in cash and prizes up for grabs.
The tournament finals will take place in Kingston on Saturday April 4, 2010 with eliminations running across the island between this weekend to March 27, 2010.
Brand manager of Dragon, Joseph Oates, says this the competition is the first and largest of its kind in Jamaica.
“The tournament is the first islandwide cut throat domino tournament and is also the largest tournament that has ever been held in the island,” Oates said.
The event is open to players 18 years and older and each participant in the finals walks away a winner. The overall champion will pocket a whopping $2 million, second place $1 million, $500,000 for third, fourth spot $250,000 and $50,000 for the fifth to 16th place finishers.
In addition to Dragon Stout, other sponsors include Paymaster, Ocean Spray and the Jamaica Observer.
