Negril hotel hosts tennis clinic for youth clubbites
NEGRIL, Westmorland — On November 21, Beaches Sandy Bay here created much exposure and excitement for 30 members of the Negril Youth Club as they participated in the resort’s first ever tennis clinic.
Club members were excited to learn the sport and newly appointed president of the youth club, Paul Johnson, noted that “I am grateful to Beaches Sandy Bay for inviting us to be exposed in this regard”.
The tennis clinic was conducted by tennis pros from the USA — Scott and Kerrie Ramsone — who also donated tennis gears.
General manager of Beaches Sandy Bay, Brian Sang, and an avid tennis player himself, said: “It is always important to reach out to the community. As we make our contribution to sports development in Jamaica, our aim is to create exposure and bring to the communities, live access to the world of sports by hosting clinics, tournaments, and sponsoring community sporting events.”
