Who will survive in Dollars and Sense game show?
The question being asked is which contestants will survive from the Dollars and Sense ‘D Deck’ after the public voting, as the third round of the new game show gets underway on CVM TV December 1 at 6:00 pm.
Contestants on the D Deck are Jackie, who did very well in the first round but stumbled in the second round, as well as Nadine and Chris who both did well in the first round. The person with the lowest vote will drop out.
The other contestant, Burchell, the ‘man of the moment,’ has placed himself in good stead. This after making good use of his ‘lifeline’ where he was voted back in from D Deck after failing in the first round. Burchell came back strongly and ‘breezed’ through the second round by answering all his questions correctly.
For his effort, he has a helpline where he can use Internet access to assist him in answering his questions.
Speaking about the show he said: “Well from way back I always love quiz and it is always good to get a little extra money. Not everyone can considerably say they know everything about their country. Although I must admit I knew most of the answers but I still learnt a lot.”
Participants have a quest of winning one million in cash.
Dollars and Sense is hosted by a new face on TV, Mendel Thompson who is rated highly for bringing back the important historical aspect of our culture, many of which were forgotten. It also serves as a means of promoting smarter financial choices and better money management in both contestants and viewers.
This is accomplished with the assignment of financial advisors from JMMB, the main sponsors of the show, to each contestant. JMMB along with another sponsor, Advantage General Insurance Company also gives financial tips to viewers.
Imani Duncan, group marketing manager of JMMB, was pleased about the partnership with Signature Films, producers of Dollars and Sense and JMMB.
“It is like pioneering and the application of a new idea which is celebrating our culture. It is the same spirit which we started JMMB 17 years ago. Our Money Market enabled Jamaicans from all walks of life to truly earn on their money. We have a commitment to Jamaicans to help them become economically independent.
“So it is the same way we support the contestant as we sort to guide them in building good money management skills and providing them with financial solution in order to help them meet their goals.”
Dollars and Sense is sponsored by JMMB, Advantage Insurance, The Jamaica Observer, The Kingston Hotel, Couples Swept Away Resort and Courts Jamaica Limited.
