Body found on Middle Quarters main road
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – The St Elizabeth police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man on the Middle Quarters main road early yesterday morning.
The body, which had a single gunshot wound, was unidentified up to press time.
Investigators yesterday speculated that the apparent murder may be connected to the subsequent discovery of a car in Santa Cruz containing bloodstains. There was an exit bullet hole in a rear door, the police said.
Residents noticed the body by the side of the road about 4:00 am and called the police.
The deceased, who was believed to be in his mid-40’s, was described as being of dark complexion, stout build, bald-headed and five feet 11 inches tall.
He was wearing a brown sweat suit and brown Clarks shoes.
