PORK rotisserie-style
Where’s the beef? The headlines screamed two mornings ago. Over at Super Plus Half Way Tree Clock Tower and Liguanea, the cry is somewhat different: it’s all about the pork, it has been that way for some two and a half weeks now, since Caribbean Broilers and Super Plus joined hands to offer consumers rotisserie – style pork. According to Super Plus director Richard Chen, “It’s in keeping with consumer demands for convenient food. The response has been positive. Shoppers love the taste” (which he says is mild by Jamaican standards). “ur focus now is on making available a product that is consistently good.”
Although Super Plus rotisserie pork is currently only available at Half Way Tree (Clock Tower) and the Liguanea supermarkets, there are plans in place for Montego Bay and naturally most if not all Super Plus supermarkets. What Thursday Food loves about this rotisserie pork which comes in two sizes is the price: 1/2 lb sells for $320.00 and 1lb for $640.00.
Little surprise that Paul Dawkins, manager Super Plus Half Way Tree Clocktower reports that “the demand is growing”.
