St James woman missing
WESTERN BUREAU — Inet Chambers, a 46 year-old mother of three, is supposed to appear before the Family Court on July 28, but she has been missing since last Tuesday.
Chambers is separated from her husband, Hubert, and the two are to appear before the court to settle the matter of the amount of alimony she is to be paid.
According to police reports, at about 8:00 am last Tuesday, Chambers and cops from the Mount Salem police station in Montego Bay went to a construction site at Westgate Hills, where her husband worked. On arrival, they reportedly located Hubert and served him with a summons to appear before the family court.
The police subsequently left but the pre-trained teacher of Garlands District in the parish remained, allegedly to talk to her husband.
Hubert reportedly later left the construction site with his wife, inside his grey Toyota Corolla motor car. According to the cops, he told them that he paid his wife $10,000 and left her at the intersection of Fustic Road and Barnett Street.
The 46 year-old woman has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of her disappearance she was dressed in a red blouse, blue skirt and a pair of brown shoes. She is also reported to have been carrying a dark handbag.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Spring Mount police station at 855-1043.
