Cops recover items stolen from rapper
A joint effort by the Spanish Town and Bridgeport police on Tuesday evening led to the recovery of most of the items stolen over the weekend from a motorcar used by local rap artiste, Nadz. One of the thieves was also nabbed and is now in police custody.
There were high praises for the four-man team from the Spanish Town Police Station comprising Corporal Constantine, constables L Gordon, B Gordon and M Ebanks who, acting on a tip, went to premises in Spanish Town where the artiste’s camcorder and digital camera were recovered.
The suspect, who was incidentally pointed out by a fan of Nadz, was then handed over to the Bridgeport police who, after interrogating him, went to premises in Portmore where they recovered the laptop and I Pod stolen from the car.
Only the CD player remains to be recovered, but the artiste’s associates were jubilant and expressed high praises for the joint effort of the security officers. A reward was also offered to the fan who tipped off the police.
