Two road deaths in St Mary
Two people were killed in separate accidents in St Mary on Christmas Day, December 25.
They have been identified as Dwayne McLeod of Richmond, St Mary and Ieilda Samuels, 50, of Lilliput, St James.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 1:20 pm, McLeod was a passenger on a Nissan truck travelling along the Cane Heat main road in Richmond. On reaching the vicinity of his home, McLeod reportedly jumped from the moving truck, fell and was run over by the left rare wheel. He was taken to the Port Maria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In the other incident, the police said that at about 3:00 pm a Toyota Corolla motor car, registered 8583 DV, driven by Melvin Howell of Albion Mountain, in the parish, was travelling along the Tower Isle main road heading towards Port Maria when it was involved in a collision with a Lada motor car, registered 6317 DB. Samuels, who was a passenger in the Lada motor car, received multiple injuries and was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Prospect Police who are investigating are now seeking Melvin Howell, the driver of the Toyota Corolla motor car for questioning.
Man shot dead in Kingston 13
A man was shot dead by unknown assailant(s) on Crescent Road, Kingston 13 Thursday night. He has been identified as Ricardo Ffrench, 23, of Crescent Road.
The CCN said that at about 7:00 pm, Ffrench was walking along Crescent Road when a man armed with a handgun, alighted from a motor car. The man opened fire hitting Ffrench all over his body. He died on the spot. The body was removed to the morgue for post-mortem.

Two men were shot, one fatally, by unknown assailant(s) in the Kingston 13 area Thursday night. The dead man has been identified as Randy Powell of Union Gardens, while injured is a 19 year-old man.
The police said that at about 9:25 pm, both men were walking along Daffodil Avenue when a man armed with a handgun approached them. The man opened fire hitting one of them and they ran in different directions. Powell died whilst undergoing treatment at hospital. The other man was admitted in stable condition.
The St Andrew South Homicide Team, which is investigating, is seeking a man known as “Tannie” in connection with the shooting.
